Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5G

We are talking about being able to charge the mobile in 15 minutes, something that even high-end mobiles from other manufacturers cannot boast of. However, it is not the only thing that stands out since Xiaomi has put many eggs in this basket. The question is, will it work out for him?

I wish all Redmi were this powerful

I know this mobile does not have a meager price, but even so, I cannot help but be glad that Xiaomi has chosen to use the MediaTek Dimensity 920, a processor I loved in the realm 9 Pro Plus, and that here it shines again.

The unit they lent us has 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, and it shows, especially the first. The fluidity is very high, and we have not had lags. This model’s power is not what we have in terminals like the Xiaomi 12 Pro, but it is logical.

It seems a very acceptable midpoint for those who want an experience close to the high range but without paying what is currently being asked for mobile in that category.

Even with demanding games, we have been fine, enjoying them and not suffering from them.

And in the connectivity section, Xiaomi boasts again because it integrates everything expected, from the radio and the headphone jack to the latest generation wireless connectivity:

5G.
4G.
Bluetooth 5.2.
Wi-Fi 6
Infrared.
FM Radio.
NFC.
Headphone port.
NFC.
Double speaker.

The speakers say that JBL calibrates them, and their quality is excellent. Also, the volume, especially the position since Xiaomi continues to put the two in the smaller frames, is the best place if we do not want to occupy part of the front.
The screen stands out in quality, brightness, and size.

Mid-range mobiles have begun using OLED panels even in shallow price ranges, as Xiaomi has shown.

Even with everything, that does not mean that all the panels are the same, and here we see a high-quality one designed for the type of mobile, the Redmi Note 11 Pro.

The diagonal is 6.67 inches, the resolution is 2400 x 1080 px, and the AMOLED technology goes hand in hand with a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. In addition, the panel supports HDR10 technology, something we do not always see in this category and cannot take for granted.

The average maximum brightness is 700 nits, but promptly we can reach up to 1200 nits when the sun hits us fully, just for a few seconds.

The quality of the screen is enormous, although it is not a leap compared to what we saw in this model’s predecessor, except in the maximum average brightness.

The only thing we put here that Xiaomi executes conscientiously is using a side fingerprint sensor instead of one on the screen. By using OLED technology, it could be implemented, but the company wants this to be, at least for now, one of the differences between the high-end and mid-range Redis.

Similarly priced devices like the realme 9 Pro, the Samsung Galaxy A53, or the OnePlus Nord CE 2 have it, but it seems that Xiaomi does not care about it.

The side sensor works well, and the face unlocks, which is fast and configurable, as it should be.
Three cameras that are two

Xiaomi has chosen to maintain a camera configuration similar to last year. The primary sensor of 108 Mpx and a wide angle of 8 Mpx has added a 2 Mpx macro that we will directly ignore in this analysis. We look forward to the day when manufacturers decide to focus their efforts on practical cameras.

The primary sensor has 108 Mpx, although we will shoot at 12 Mpx by default.

During the day, the shots are good, but it does not stand out compared to the competition. We have tried to use HDR automatically and manually, and we have done the same with artificial intelligence. The average user likes the photos he takes, but he is not the best in his category.

Straight lines and matte finish

Xiaomi, like other brands, has decided that the design line in the mid and low range is the straight line we saw with the iPhone a couple of generations ago. This looks great visually, but on the hand, it makes the terminals more uncomfortable to use.

That, yes, in This case, has not given us much of that feeling, and if we use a chance, ergonomics will not be a problem. It weighs just over 200 grams, but it has not bothered us in hand, something curious.

The back has a matte finish in the unit they gave us in gray, and the truth is that it suits you well. Of course, the camera module is quite large and has a considerable thickness, which means that resting on the table, the mobile tends to shake if we use it.

Also, although we have three sensors, there are five elements, one of them for the flash and one for… nothing. Let’s hope that Xiaomi improves the design of this section, as other brands have done, leaving not only the necessary elements (the macro camera is excessive) but with a cleaner design and without decorative details.

The metal frame is also matte, which gives this model a very sober touch. On the right side, we have the fingerprint sensor on the power button, which is not a problem because MIUI allows it to be activated if we press it, not touch it. However, we can also do it in this last way if we want. I wouldn’t say I like it because if not, every time I take it from the table, it tries to unlock itself.

Many mobiles have nothing in the upper frame except a cancellation microphone, but this Redmi is the opposite. In addition to that microphone, we have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, although it is becoming scarce in this price range. We also have a pretty decent secondary speaker and an IR blaster. Again, Xiaomi boasts of connectivity.

At the bottom, we have another microphone, the main speaker, the USB C charging port, and the tray for two SIMs or a phone card and a microSD.
